Arnaldo J Aponte


Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Arnaldo attended the University of Central Florida and earned his degree in Liberal Arts with a specialization in Business Administration. Arnaldo earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University Bloomington.

Arnaldo was the Assistant Public Defender of Seminole County, Florida, where he defended cases of crimes like theft, complex cases of DUI (driving vehicle under influence of alcohol or drugs) drug possession and sexual assault.

He continued practicing criminal law when he entered the prestigious law firm Payás, Payás and Payás in Orlando, Fl., defending clients in cases of misdemeanor and felony.

In 2007 he founded Arnaldo J. Aponte, P.A. to serve the communities of Tavares and Apopka, then expanding the practice to include immigration and family law, in addition to the criminal law.

Arnaldo is a former Assistant Public Defender of Seminole County, FL. Arnaldo defended felony cases: such as theft, complex DUI's, drug possession, and sexual battery.

His criminal defense continued tenure as I was welcomed to the prestigious law firm of Payas, Payas, Payas and, in Orlando, FL, defending clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges.

Cynthia Vel

Associate Attorney

Cynthia was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Orlando, Fla. She attended the University of Central Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Social Work. She graduated from Florida A & M University with a Juris Doctor, being admitted to the Florida bar in 2015.

While studying law, Cynthia participated in the 19th Annual Competition Uvaldo Herrera Hispanic National Bar for Law Students Association. She also published a paper on the human rights of indigenous peoples in South America.

Cynthia has contributed to the community through her efforts as a social worker and advocate for the needs of the elderly, as well as devoting time to help individuals who are struggling to overcome their addiction to substances like alcohol and drugs.

Cynthia is a member of the Association of Women Lawyers of Central Florida and practicing Family Law on behalf of Arnaldo J. Aponte, P.A..

Olivia & Rosco


Olivia and Rosco joined the office of Arnaldo J. Aponte, P.A. during the summer of 2015. They are from France and are now living in Tavares, Florida. This brother and sister duo play an integral role in welcoming the firm's clients and provides stress relief.
